USI-ACT is pleased to announce that the first speaker for 2020 will be Prof John Blaxland. John is a regular and highly valued supporter of the USI - ACT and we are very pleased he has agreed to lead off in 2020.

Given that the recent National focus has been on the fires devastating a number of regions throughout Australia it is appropriate and timely to address a topic related to National Security that is more internally focused. Prof Blaxland’s topic will be: “Defence and National Security After the Fire Emergency: A Way Forward”.

Please join us for at Weston Creek for what will be a timely and important focus on a National Security challenge that is not only of great National importance but is now personal for many Australians.
