Subject: Kremlin looking East – Russia’s interests in the Pacific


Jacqueline Westermann is a researcher with the International Program at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. Her research interests include security in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, German foreign and military policy as well as the role of women in peace and security. Prior to joining ASPI in 2017, Jacky was a program assistant at the Warsaw office of The German Marshall Fund of the United States. Originally from Germany, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Law at the University of Muenster, and graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies. Afterwards Jacky lived in Russia and worked at the Moscow German Newspaper. Additionally, she co-edits a current affairs blog, The PACT Online, and contributes to a selection of national and international political outlets such as The Strategist, The Australian, APPS Policy Forum, Australian Defence Magazine, New Eastern Europe, Visegrad Insight and others.

Lunchtime Lectures are open to any interested person.  
 Attendance fees are:

Institute Members $10.00; Non-members $15.00.  

Payment will be collected at the lecture.
Pre-event registration is not required.  

Sandwiches served: 12.00 noon
