In 2018, USI of the ACT is exploring as its theme the new Department of Home Affairs. In February, we heard a critical academic perspective, and the Council is now pleased to announce the next presentation in this series.

On Thursday 31 May 2018, Mr Hamish Hansford, First Assistant Secretary National Security and Law Enforcement Policy in the Department of Home Affairs, will describe the Department's view, including the imperatives for change, what has been done and what still needs to be done. Mr Hansford was a key member of the Home Affairs Implementation Team and is thus ideally placed to offer first hand insights.  His views are sure to be of interest to all who follow national security affairs.

The presentation will be held in the Spender Theatre, Australian Defence College, Weston Creek, commencing at 1800 hours.  The ADC Mess will be open from 1700 hours for networking.

Entry to this presentation is free but registration is required, either on the website, or by contacting Mickey in our office (E: support@rusi.org.au; T 02 6266 3446).

Members and guests are reminded that photo ID is required for access to the Weston Creek Campus.
