The Council is delighted to announce a presentation by the Executive Director of the Australian Civil-Military Centre, Dr Alan Ryan, to be held in the Ngunnawal Theatre, Buildng R1, Russell, commencing at 1600 hours on Thursday 5 October 2017. You can read Dr Ryan's biography here.
The Australian Civil-Military Centre is a small, but significant, interagency organisation that is a part of the Australian Defence Force Headquarters and works to the Vice Chief of the Defence Force. Though an integral part of Defence, its mission is to support Australian Government departments and agencies to prepare for, prevent and respond to conflicts and disasters overseas. It works across the Australian government, with international government counterparts, international and non-government organisations and the private sector. It builds operational preparedness through concept development, multiagency exercise support, education and training and whole of government lessons-learned.
In this presentation Dr Ryan will discuss how the Centre’s work supports the development of national capability and how the implementation of the national Integrated Approach to operations is a strategic game-changer.
