All about RUSI of Australia Inc (RUSI)
Aim
The aim of RUSI is to promote informed debate and to improve public awareness and
understanding of defence and national security. RUSI seeks to promote informed and balanced debate on strategic and national security
matters by providing forums for discussion throughout Australia. It is a non-political
organisation and does not take a position or view on these matters.
RUSI fulfils its aim by:
- Conducting regular lectures and seminars in State and Territory capital cities throughout Australia; and in some regional centres throughout the year
- Publishing regularly transcripts of presentations given to all RUSI of Australia chapters by expert speakers on vital international and national security and defence issues
- Maintaining libraries devoted to strategic and defence issues, both historical and contemporary
- Circulating information bulletins and circulars containing details of forthcoming meetings, presentations and other events of note to all members of relevant RUSI chapters
- Maintaining an active national website to promote these events, provide additional benefits to members, provide access to privlileged documents, provide membership support
- Hosting social events, usually featuring a key speaker, to enable members and their guests to discuss and debate
