Administration

Each constituent chapter has its own council or management committee. Each committee comprises members elected by the membership, while ex-officio members are nominated to serve on respective councils by senior Australian Defence Force commanders in the relevant State or Territory.

The National Council of the RUSI comprises the Presidents of each constituent chapter plus the National President; two National Vice-Presidents (one elected, the other nominated by the Chief of the Defence Force), the National Secretary and the National Treasurer.

The RUSI is assisted financially by an annual grant-in-aid from the Department of Defence.
